Inventory OverviewFiltering & Searching

Filtering & Searching

Use the filter builder, AI search bar, and quick search to find any product on the Inventory Overview.

The Inventory Overview has three ways to narrow the table down to the products you care about: a quick search for product names and SKUs, a filter builder for precise column-level conditions, and an AI search bar for plain-English queries. You can use them individually or stack them together.

The search box in the toolbar matches against product name (nickname) and SKU. As you type, the table filters in real time. Use it when you know roughly what you are looking for and just need to jump to it.

The lightning-bolt icon at the start of the toolbar opens the AI search bar. Type a plain-English question and Profit Hawk translates it into the right filters and applies them to the table.

Examples that work:

  • "show me products running low"
  • "items with no sales in the last 30 days"
  • "products in the Acme brand with FBA available less than 100"
  • "what needs to be reordered before next month"
  • "high revenue products with low inventory"

After you submit a query, a banner appears at the top of the table explaining what filters were applied. The filters show as chips below the toolbar so you can edit or remove them just like manual filters. If the AI gets it wrong, click the chip to adjust the values, or remove it and try a clearer query.

AI search works best when you describe the outcome (what kind of products you are looking for) rather than the column names. "Products at risk of stocking out next week" works better than "Stockout Date is between today and next week."

Filter builder

For precise filters by column, click Filter (the plus icon) in the toolbar. The filter builder lists every filterable column grouped by category.

Filter categories

CategoryColumns
Inventory HealthVelocity, Days of Supply, Stockout Date, Urgency
Current InventoryFBA Inventory (Available, Reserved, Inbound), External Inventory (Available, Inbound)
Transfers (only with a 3PL or AWD)Transfer Qty, Transfer By date, Transfer Urgency
Supplier OrdersOrder Qty, Order By date, Order Urgency
SalesUnits, Revenue
TrafficPage Views, Sessions
Amazon AdsAd Spend, Ad Units, Ad Revenue
ProductBrand

The Transfers category only appears when your account has somewhere to transfer from (a 3PL warehouse or AWD).

Filter operators

Each filter type supports a different set of operators:

  • Number filters: is greater than, is less than, is between, equals
  • Date filters: is after, is before, is between
  • Set filters (like Urgency or Brand): is, is not

Scoping filters by marketplace, pool, or warehouse

Some columns can be scoped to a specific marketplace, inventory pool, or warehouse. When you build a filter on one of these columns, the filter builder shows a scope dropdown:

  • Inventory Health filters can be scoped to a specific pool (US, NARF, Pan-EU, etc.)
  • FBA Inventory filters can be scoped to a specific marketplace
  • External Inventory filters can be scoped to a specific warehouse
  • Sales, Traffic, and Ads filters can be scoped to a specific marketplace

If you leave the scope on "All," the filter applies to the row totals. If you pick a scope, only data for that marketplace or warehouse is filtered.

Sub-type filters

The FBA Inventory and External Inventory filters have a sub-type dropdown so you can filter on Available, Reserved, or Inbound separately. For example, "FBA Available less than 50" is different from "FBA Inbound less than 50."

Timeframe-scoped filters

Sales, Traffic, and Ads columns are stacked across multiple timeframes (7D, 30D, 90D, 1Y) so you can see all of them in one column. When you filter on these columns, you also pick a timeframe. "Units > 100 in the last 30 days" only matches if the 30D value is over 100.

Filter chips

Every active filter shows as a chip below the toolbar. Each chip displays the column, the operator, and the value, plus the scope and timeframe if set. Click a chip to edit it. Click the X to remove it.

The Clear Filters button on the right end of the toolbar removes every filter at once and resets the view to All.

Combining filters

All filters apply with AND logic. Add as many as you need to drill in. A common stack:

  1. Start on the Restock tab (preset filter: Order Qty > 0)
  2. Add a brand filter (Brand is "Acme")
  3. Add a date filter (Order By is before next Friday)

You will see only Acme products that need to be ordered before Friday.

Saving a view

Profit Hawk does not currently let you save custom filter sets. The page URL preserves the active tab and filters from the AI search, so bookmark a URL or share it with a teammate to keep your filter stack.
