Team Access
Invite team members to your Profit Hawk organization and manage their permissions.
Profit Hawk supports multi-user organizations. Owners and admins can invite team members, assign roles, and remove access when someone leaves. This page covers each step.
Where to find Team Access
Click your organization name in the top-left of the app, choose Organization Settings, then click Members (or Team) in the side menu. You need admin or owner permissions to manage members.
Roles
Profit Hawk has three roles within an organization:
| Role | Can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything the admin can do, plus delete the organization and transfer ownership. There is one owner per organization. |
| Admin | Manage settings, integrations, billing, and members. Can edit and delete data. Can invite new members. |
| Member | View and edit data (products, plans, suppliers). Cannot manage settings, integrations, or billing. Cannot invite new members. |
Inviting a team member
Open the Members page
From your organization settings, click Members.
Click Invite Member
The invite dialog opens.
Enter the email and role
Type the new member's email address and pick a role (Member or Admin).
Send the invite
Click Send Invitation. Profit Hawk emails the invitee a magic link they can use to join.
The invited person sees the organization on their next sign-in. If they do not have a Profit Hawk account yet, the magic link walks them through creating one.
Changing a member's role
Open the Members page, click the role dropdown next to a member's name, and pick a new role. The change takes effect immediately.
To transfer the owner role to someone else, you (as the current owner) need to demote yourself to admin and promote the new owner. This is irreversible without support intervention, so confirm before clicking.
Removing a member
Click the menu icon next to a member and choose Remove. The member loses access immediately. Their past activity (created plans, edited products, etc.) is preserved with their name still attached for audit purposes.
If you want to remove someone who is currently the owner, transfer ownership first.
Pending invitations
If you invite someone and they have not accepted yet, the invite shows on the Members page with a Pending label. From there you can:
- Resend the invitation email
- Cancel the invitation if you sent it by mistake
