Now that you have an account, the next step is to connect your Amazon seller accounts so Profit Hawk can import your data. Profit Hawk can aggregate data from multiple sources (even across marketplaces and ad accounts), giving you a holistic view in one place. We recommend connecting all the Amazon accounts you want to report on.
Connect Your Amazon Data Sources
In your Profit Hawk dashboard, click on Add Data Source (or a similarly labeled button for connecting accounts).
Connect an Amazon Seller Central account: Select the option to connect Seller Central. You’ll be asked to enter a nickname for the account (for example, “Dunder Mifflin North America”) and choose the region (marketplace) for that seller account (e.g. North America, Europe, etc.). When ready, click Authorize. This will redirect you to Amazon Seller Central’s authorization page.
Tip: Before authorizing, log in to the correct Amazon Seller Central account in another browser tab. This ensures the authorization uses the right Amazon account (especially important if you manage multiple seller accounts).
Complete the Amazon Seller Central authorization steps. Sign into Amazon (if prompted) and grant Profit Hawk permission to access your Seller Central data. After approving, you’ll be sent back to Profit Hawk.
Repeat the above for any additional Seller Central accounts you want to connect. There’s no need to silo your reporting—Profit Hawk can handle multiple accounts at once.
Connect an Amazon Advertising (Ads) account: If you want to pull in Amazon Ads data, click Add Data Source again and choose the Amazon Advertising option. Authorize it just like you did for Seller Central. (Amazon requires a separate authorization for advertising data, since it’s a different API.) Follow the prompts to allow access to your Ads account.
Tip: If you accidentally connect the wrong Amazon account, don’t panic! You can easily remove a data source from your Profit Hawk dashboard. Removing a data source will delete the imported data for that account, allowing you to re-add the correct account if needed.
Initial data import: Once your accounts are connected, Profit Hawk will begin importing your data automatically. This first import can take some time (up to 24 hours for full historical data, depending on how much data you have). You can check back later to see if the import has completed – there’s nothing you need to do in the meantime. (The Profit Hawk team keeps an eye on the import process to ensure it goes smoothly.)
Now that your Amazon Seller Central and Ads accounts are linked, you’re ready to set up the Google Sheets add-on to view and work with the data.
